More than 70% of Lloyds Pharmacies throughout the UK are involved in the care of individuals in drug misuse programmes, offering services such as supervised consumption of drug substitutes such as methadone, needle exchange and the provision of advice.

They also have a programme of installing private consultation areas in their pharmacies for the provision of many services including blood pressure and diabetes screening, as well as substance misuse support. These consultation areas provide a private and confidential environment for the pharmacy's customers to discuss their health issues and ask questions.

Dr Francis said,

"The Lloyds Pharmacy at 6 Morrison Road provides a valuable service to all members of the surrounding community, and I congratulate them on their professionalism and hard work.
