Comprehensive Spending Review

Following the Chancellor’s statement today Dr Hywel Francis, Labour MP for Aberavon said
"I totally reject the scale and speed of the cuts announced today in the Comprehensive Spending Review.
My constituency of Aberavon has over 25% of the working population in the public sector: they will be badly affected as will the public services they deliver locally.
I am also concerned about the benefit cuts as they will severely hit vulnerable groups such as the disabled, carers, pensioners and children."
