Aberavon MP Welcomes £90 million Funding Boost for Swansea University

Aberavon MP, Dr Hywel Francis, has welcomed the news that Swansea University has secured £60 million funding from the European Investment Bank as well as £30 million of funding from the Welsh Assembly which will go towards its ambitious expansion plans.
Dr Francis said,
“I was delighted to hear that Swansea University will receive £90 million funding towards its development. The expansion will include the construction of a new Science and Innovation Campus within my Aberavon Constituency which will create world-leading facilities for research, innovation and education, as well as promoting economic development in the region and the potential for thousands of jobs.”
