Dr Francis said,

'I felt it a great privilege to record the memories of Michael Foot who wrote the famous two volume biography of Aneurin Bevan. The battle to establish the NHS was an important one. After all this was the first free health service in the world.'

The recording has now been deposited at the South Wales Miners' Library in Swansea University.
